Earlier this week, Arts Service Inc. had the pleasure of hosting Megan Woodward of Confluence Arts Solutions for an insightful webinar on “Mapping a Marketing Campaign.” If you missed it, here are the top five takeaways that can transform your marketing strategy:

  1. Plan Early, Act Consistently 🗓️ Start your marketing campaign with a detailed timeline. From announcing your season early to preparing materials well in advance, consistency and preparation are key to reducing stress and ensuring success.
  2. Smart Discount Strategies 💸 Use discounts strategically to reward loyalty and early purchases, rather than creating “fire sales.” This approach maintains the perceived value of your work and encourages timely engagement.
  3. Effective Email Campaigns 📧 Begin your email announcements 6 months out with consistent visuals and messaging. Grab attention with compelling visuals and always include a strong call to action (CTA) to drive ticket sales.
  4. Maximize Organic and Digital Reach 📱 We recommend engaging with 40 organic social stories and posts over the course of the campaign. PLUS, consider digital ads starting 8 weeks before the event. Reuse and rotate your content regularly. Plus track performance to ensure maximum visibility and impact.
  5. Prioritize Digital Over Traditional Ads 🖥️ Focus on digital ads like meta, Google, and Spotify to reach a larger audience, as only 7% of followers see organic posts. Traditional ads can be less effective and harder to track.

A huge thank you to Megan Woodward and Confluence Arts Solutions for these valuable insights! And remember, staying organized, flexible, and audience-focused is crucial for a successful campaign.
