A big, big thank you to everyone who joined us for CPX: Refresh on June 3rd and 4th. We loved seeing new faces, learning from our incredible presenters, and basking in the sunlight at Tifft Nature Preserve.
After two years of uncertainty and turmoil, ASI offered CPX: Refresh as a respite where creatives were invited to step away from the chaos of everyday life to refocus their passion for the arts. CPX: Refresh consisted of presentations from local area professionals, panel led discussions, and networking opportunities curated for those looking for inspiration and new ways forward in their work.
Here’s a recap of what we learned:
- Creativity comes when you’re not looking for it, and can come from connections in your natural world.
- Your head weighs 14 pounds and when you stand with your head not in line with your spine, your neck takes a lot more weight.
- Your social media strategy will only work as much as you work on it.
- Self-promotion is important and the way you present yourself matters.
- It’s okay to have a treat!
- Zentangling is a new way to explore mindfulness and creativity.
- Exploring new spaces is a great way to feel more connected to your community.
- Research is key to getting paid the salary you deserve.
- Building something new can be more fulfilling than buying it.
- Use all of your senses to taste your food so you can really enjoy each bite.
- If you can, build your work schedule based on your body’s natural rhythms.
- When thinking about brand identity, showcase what makes you unique over everyone else.
- Use the assets that you have in your head, heart, and hands to make your community a better place!
Thank you to everyone who came out to the event, we really enjoyed getting to know you and spending time with you in the beauty of Tifft. What should we include at CPX next year??
ASI thanks CPX: Refresh sponsors Univera, Artpark, APEX Leader Growth, Wegmans, Rosina Foods, Landies, Buffalo Waterfront, and Duende for all of their support.
