Arts Services Inc. (ASI), on behalf of Assemblymember Jon D. Rivera’s Office, is pleased to announce that Audra Linsner has been chosen for the creation of a mural on the building wall at 136 Evans Street in the Village of Hamburg. The building, owned by Kirst construction, faces Legion Field and will be visible to the public who visit the park.
Linsner’s proposal details an ambitious 2,600 square foot painted mural, which she hopes to finish with the help of local students from the Hamburg school district. The finished design will celebrate several distinguishing landmarks and locations around Hamburg including Eighteen Mile Creek, the village roundabout, and both modern and historical buildings. The mural will be completed this summer, pending weather conditions.
Assemblymember Jon D. Rivera said, “From creatively playing with shape and form in order to capture the historic essence of the Alleyway Theatre in Buffalo, to crafting a palette of vibrant colors that fervently attract the eyes of tourists in the Finger Lakes, Audra Linsner has a well-earned reputation for turning blank walls into bold art. I’m excited to see her ideas turned into fruition within the Village of Hamburg.”
Linsner is the owner of Three of Four Design Co. which specializes in murals, design, and lettering and typeform. She is a self-described “paint-slinging, award-winning, font-obsessed designer with a penchant for making things that look good and have meaning.” View more of Linsner’s work at threeoffourdesignco.com.
Congratulations, Audra!
