
Gaitrie joined the ASI team in November of 2024. She is bringing with her over 15 years of experience in the arts, specializing in Indian dance, cultural education, and community building. As the founder of Devi Performing Arts, Gaitrie has created a vibrant cultural hub that offers diverse dance classes, master workshops, and storytelling projects to foster a deeper appreciation for Indian dance and culture. Her work has brought countless people from different backgrounds together to celebrate the beauty of BIPOC forms of movement. With her unique blend of dance expertise and an educational approach, she empowers her students and audiences to connect with traditions while finding new ways to engage with the arts.
In her role at ASI, Gaitrie is dedicated to expanding access to the arts, especially for BIPOC artists and women of color.
