These intermediaries, such as capacity builders, professional associations, and funders, play a crucial role in ensuring the success and sustainability of frontline organizations. Arts Services Inc. (ASI) is proud to be one of these vital support organizations, dedicated to empowering the vibrant arts community across the five counties of Western New York.

ASI provides direct services and funding to a diverse range of artists and arts and culture organizations. We believe that a strong arts sector is vital to the cultural and economic health of our region. By connecting artists with funding opportunities, professional development, and community access, we help to foster a thriving and inclusive creative community.

Our Services

  • Funding Opportunities: We provide grants and funding to support the creation and presentation of art in our community. This includes programs like the Give for Greatness and the Creative Impact Fund, which are designed to support both individual artists and arts organizations.
  • Professional Development: We offer workshops, executive training sessions and conferences aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of artists and arts administrators. These sessions, including From the Ground Up, MEDAL, and Creative Professionals Exchange cover a wide range of topics, from grant writing to marketing strategies. We all benefit when our local organizations stay up to date with the latest industry trends and enhance their skills.
  • Community Engagement: We strive to make the arts accessible to everyone in our community. Through initiatives like Arts Access, we work to remove barriers and ensure that all residents can experience and participate in the arts.
  • Advocacy and Representation: At ASI, we champion the interests of individual artists and arts organizations at local, state, and national levels. Our efforts include active participation in advocacy groups that support funding and legislation for the arts and culture. Additionally, we contribute to the Arts & Economic Prosperity Report through Americans for the Arts, highlighting the significant economic contributions of the arts sector.
  • Financial Support Services: At ASI, we offer bookkeeping services to organize financial records and assist with budgeting, as well as fiscal sponsorship services to help both individual artists and organizations raise funds and apply for grants using our 501©3 status.
  • Resources: We provide access to industry-specific funding opportunities, job openings, calls for work, residencies, and studio availability.
  • Community Building and Networking Opportunities: We organize events, conferences, and meet-ups where artists and arts and culture professionals can build a sense of community.
