We can’t stop thinking about all of the epic-ness that was CPX: Work & Play! Thank you to all of our presenters, participants, and our good friends at Apex Leader Growth, the Stained Glass Association of America and Trinity Episcopal Church for making last Friday so memorable.
Here’s some key takeaways that we learned:
- Professionalism and leadership can come from a number of unexpected places
- The road to starting a nonprofit can be daunting, but with the right tools, you can build something that makes a difference
- “Yes and” works in improv comedy but also in cooperative team building!
- Taking the time to create something for yourself is the perfect way to fill your cup
- Your best marketing tool will always be your own uniqueness
- Art and culture will always be the forces that drive a community forward
- It’s easy to cultivate mindfulness when interacting with elements from the natural world
- Creativity is a muscle that can be strengthened by using it every day
- We often face situations that require us to use our own superpowers and learning how our own personalities influence our choices can lead us to healthier choices
- Art was made to be shared and when we use it to engage our communities, we all win
- You can create something beautiful from broken pieces
