ASI’s MEDAL (Molding Executives and Directors into Arts Leaders) Program is forging the next generation of WNY arts leaders.
The six (6) month training and mentorship program will offer participants, or Medalists, monthly workshops and presentations, along with resources, networking, and one-on-one mentorship related to managing nonprofit arts or culture work.
The MEDAL Program is similar to other leadership programs found in WNY, but it is the only program in the region that is specifically designed to meet the needs of newly appointed or promoted arts nonprofit leaders. The program is curated by ASI’s Executive Director Jen Swan and Grants & Programming Director Holly Grant, each of whom have significant experience in the field and understand the nuance of the WNY arts industry.
Participation in the program requires approximately 30 hours of commitment over a six-month period. Sessions will be held the third Thursday of the month between April and September of 2023. For the first year, a small group of 8 to 10 individuals will be selected to participate. Selected participants will be expected to attend every session.
