Say Hello to This Year’s SCR and Restart NY Grantees!

One of our favorite times of the year is when we get to announce the recipients of our Statewide Community Regrants. Formerly known as DEC grants, this funding comes from NYSCA and is distributed by ASI through the recommendations of four sets of panelists made up of industry leaders representing Erie, Niagara and Chautauqua Counties and an individual artist category for all three counties. We’re also excited to formally announce the recipients of the Restart NY Regrants that were distributed this fall.

 

It is with utmost sincerity that we say that we really do wish we had enough funds for every project, and if you did not receive funding this year, we hope that you consider applying again next year.

 

This year, we awarded over $150,000 in SCR funds to 58 individual artists and arts organizations who will use this funding for their public art projects and $45,000 in Restart NY funds to 20 individuals and arts organizations for their in-person performing arts events.  Please join us in congratulating these intrepid creatives and stay tuned on the ASI webpage, Facebook and Instagram for updates about how you can view and support their work!
