The Joseph Giambra Legacy Fund is committed to inspiring, entertaining, and integrating arts and culture in our community as modeled by the life of Joey Giambra, often called Buffalo’s Most Beloved Citizen.
Joey Giambra’s contributions are heralded through print media outlets, radio, television, and virtual platforms. From compelling and entertaining anecdotes, compositions, poems, music, and performance, his legacy brings us closer together and reminds us to enjoy the talent and culture of Western New York.
The Delaware Avenue & Allen Street Mural Project
The Fund’s inaugural project is a mural on the corner of Delaware and Allen, with a permanent work created by the artistic genius of Frank Coppola—whose temporary mural (shown above) garnered much acclaim. The proposed permanent mural is designed to capture the wide spectrum of the arts promoted by Joey, the beauty of Western New York’s rich, diverse, and artistic contributions to the world, engage those who see it, and encourage foot traffic and tourism.
