The current state of emergency caused by COVID-19 has profoundly impacted Western New York’s arts and cultural sector. With the cancellation of events, performances, workshops, and gigs, individuals and organizations who rely on event-based income are losing essential revenue that is key to their continued operations.
We’re in the initial stages of creating this fund and working on collecting donations from local foundations, corporations, and, hopefully, you: neighbors within our community who want the arts to withstand this crisis and be there when we make it to the other side of it. 100% of the proceeds from ASI’s WNY Arts Emergency Relief Fund will be distributed directly to eligible arts organizations and artists of all disciplines.
