Six arts organizations in Erie County will receive a total of more than $100,000 in grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, Sens. Charles E. Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., announce. The funding will help support artist residencies, exhibitions, professional development and public outreach.
Recipients include the Arts Services Initiative of Western New York, $10,000; the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, $20,000; Squeaky Wheel, $25,000; the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, $12,500; Burchfield Penney Art Center, $20,000; and White Pine Press, $15,000.
